Position: Security Specialist - Risk Management Department (Part Time)

Location: Lowertown Brew Pub

Join Ottawa Venues and our 20+ fantastic locations in Ottawa as a Security Specialist! As a Security Specialist, you will represent our business with integrity and pride while keeping our staff and patrons safe through customer service, de-escalation, and strategic decision making.

Duties:

- Ensure a fun, safe, and secure workplace for our staff and customers.
- Build positive relationships.
- Provide a visible security presence in assigned location.
- Provide customer service and a friendly face to customers.
- Pro-actively identify, deter, and prevent illegal activity and safety and security incidents by observing customer behaviours.
- Enforce the House Policies, Trespass to Property Act, and Liquor License Act.
- Respond to and resolve incidents.
- De-escalate situations and resolve conflicts with a focus on positive outcomes.




- Use appropriate force when necessary to protect persons and property.
- Complete incident reports and relevant documentation.
- Liaise with Ottawa Police and AGCO personnel as required.
- Attend all scheduled shifts.

Requirements:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- SmartServe (must be obtained within first 30 days of hire).
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Customer Service Focus
