We are seeking a motivated and dependable Semi Truck Driver . In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. ROUTE FROM CALGARY TO BC AND EDMONTON.

Duties

- Safely operate semi-trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with transportation regulations.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks to address mechanical issues promptly.




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- one or two year experience need in commercial driving, especially operating semi-trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- No LMIA available
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks when necessary.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial transportation.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform inspections as required.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
