Position
Reporting to the AVP, Strategic Investments & Accounting Research, the Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting plays an key role in the preparation and analysis of the consolidated results of IGM Financial Inc. and its Strategic Investments. This role provides unique exposure to the accounting and reporting implications of strategic investments, executive and Board reporting, and enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management reporting and analysis for senior management, the Board of Directors, and Board Committees.
- Support consolidation and equity-accounting of strategic investments including preparation of supporting schedules and analysis.
- Contribution to MD&A;, financial statement note preparation,
and quarterly close deliverables.
- Involvement in finance systems and process automation initiatives, including AI assisted process enhancements.
- Engage in ad-hoc corporate and departmental projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience preparing financial information for management and external reporting purposes.
- Post-secondary degree and a CPA designation (or near completion).
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling and large-dataset analysis.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance analysis, reporting efficiency, documentation, and process automation.
- Familiarity with general ledger and consolidation systems (e.g., SAP, OneStream) an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $65,500 - $91,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
