As a Senior Developer, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in the Regulatory Reporting framework. This in-house application ensures the firm meets its global regulatory obligations with precision, efficiency, and security. The platform serves as a centralized engine for data capture, validation, transformation, and reporting, integrating seamlessly with a diverse array of Front Office systems and complex business workflows.

Responsibilities

- End-to-End SDLC Ownership: Lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - requirement analysis, technical specification, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support — for regulatory-critical deliverables, ensuring all solutions align with Group standards and stringent regulatory requirements.
- Architecture & Design Leadership: Own the technical design of complex, multi-module features across the platform. Define patterns, drive architecture reviews, and ensure long-term maintainability and scalability.
- Full-Stack Technical Execution: Architect and develop robust, scalable applications utilizing Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle, integrating seamless RESTful Web Services and event-driven flow processing pipelines.
- DevOps & Build Automation: Drive efficient delivery pipelines by leveraging DevOps methodologies and tools — Jenkins for CI,



Maven for build management, Artifactory for artifact management, and Ansible for deployment automation. Champion improvements to the C/CD toolchain.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Guarantee high software reliability and code integrity by maintaining comprehensive unit and integration test coverage using JUnit 5, Mockito 5, and AssertJ. Set the bar for automated testing standards across the team.
- Regulatory Domain Ownership: Serve as a technical SME for one or more regulatory reporting domains. Partner with Compliance and Business Analysts to translate regulatory rule changes into engineered solutions.
- Project & Program Governance: Manage delivery timelines through accurate effort estimation, dependency management, risk identification, and proactive, transparent status reporting to senior management. Deliver on Jira initiatives with predictable cadence.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to optimize application performance, throughput, and system efficiency — including database tuning, batch throughput, caching strategies, and file-processing pipelines that handle high volumes daily.

Minimum Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a substantial portion delivering mission-critical applications preferably in investment banking, capital markets, or regulatory reporting environments.
- 5+ years in a senior engineering capacity with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end system delivery.

Technical Qualifications

- Core Development: Deep, hands-on expertise in Core Java (Java 8 and above; experience with Java 11/17 highly desirable), with an authoritative understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) concepts, SOLID principles, industry-standard Design Patterns, and concurrent/multi-threaded programming.
- Frameworks & APIs: Expert-level proficiency in the Spring ecosystem — Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate 4+ (ORM, L2 cache, transactions) — and design of RESTful APis at scale.
- Database Management:



Expert-level proficiency in Oracle (19c or higher), including advanced SQL, query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, partitioning, indexing strategies, and performance tuning. Comfort reading EXPLAIN PLAN output and diagnosing production DB issues.
- Distributed Systems: Working knowledge of distributed caching (Apache Ignite, Ehcache), transaction coordination across resources, and event-driven data pipelines.
- DevOps & Automation: Deep practical experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket / Git, Maven multi-module builds, and Ansible. Comfort designing CI/CD workflows and troubleshooting build/deployment pipelines.
- Scripting & Frontend (Preferred): Proficiency in Python and/or Shell Scripting for automation.
- Exposure to Ul technologies (GWT, modern JS frameworks) is a robust plus.
- Messaging / Integration (Preferred): Familiarity with JMS, Kafka, Informatica ETL, or similar integration technologies.

Methodology & Engineering Excellence
- Software Engineering Practices: Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams, utilizing Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated deployment, and rigorous code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery. Has set and enforced engineering standards.
- Systems Design: A proven track record of translating complex, ambiguous business and regulatory requirements into high-performing, scalable, and maintainable multi-technology solutions.
