The Senior Team Lead is responsible for providing strong floor leadership, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently followed, supporting production and shipping operations, and helping Team Leads and associates perform effectively. The Senior Team Lead works closely with the Supervisor to maintain smooth daily operations and address issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance

- Provide leadership and direction to Team Leads and production associates on the floor.
- Ensure Team Leads are actively leading, supporting, and developing their teams.
- Monitor Team Lead performance and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback as required.
- Ensure proper handling and allocation of the workforce based on operational requirements.
- Make team or workforce changes when necessary to support productivity and operational needs.
- Assist with conflict resolution and address employee concerns professionally and promptly.
- Conduct pre-shift team huddles to communicate daily priorities, safety expectations, production goals, and operational updates.
- Lead weekly Team Lead meetings and ensure action items are communicated and followed up on.

Quality & Production Oversight

- Perform quality checks on the production floor, strapping lanes, and shipping lanes.
- Ensure proper line clearance is completed before starting or changing jobs.
- Ensure First-Off inspections are completed and verified as required.
- Oversee line setup and changeover activities to ensure they are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to identify quality, productivity, or operational issues.
- Conduct time studies for jobs in consultation with the Supervisor to establish accurate job expectations and standards.
- Ensure PIH verification and UPC printing requirements are completed accurately.

Equipment & Shrink Line Support

- Monitor the shrink line machine to ensure it is operating safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and address minor shrink line machine issues when required.




- Perform basic machine adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting within the scope of the Senior Team Lead role.
- Coordinate with Maintenance or the Supervisor when machine issues require additional technical support.
- Ensure the shrink line is properly set up and ready for production following changeovers.
- Report recurring equipment issues and support efforts to minimize downtime

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all team members follow established safety procedures and company policies.
- Monitor the floor for unsafe conditions or practices and take appropriate corrective action.
- Reinforce protected work practices during team huddles and throughout the shift.
- Escalate safety concerns to the Supervisor when required.
- Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across the team.

Inventory & Material Support

- Complete weekly and month-end shrink film inventory audits.
- Submit base delivery requests when required to support production operations.
- Order half pallets as needed, in discussion and coordination with the Day Shift Senior Team Lead.
- Monitor material availability and communicate potential shortages or operational concerns to the Supervisor.

Afternoon Shift Administrative Support

- Act as a backup for administrative duties on the afternoon shift when requested by the Supervisor.
- Provide support with production entries and shipping entries as required.
- Assist with maintaining accurate production and shipping information.
- Support the Supervisor with other administrative or operational tasks when needed.
