Commercial Truck Equipment
Ayr
Overview
Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add an experienced full-time permanent Service Manager to our Ayr ON branch. Overseeing a growing team of talented mechanics and support staff, reporting to the Branch Manager, and working closely with the Parts and Engineering teams, the Service Manager is responsible for the efficiency, safety, and productivity of the service department and shop personnel, leading and supporting the team with confidence and a high degree of professionalism.
The Service
Manager must demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and applicants with five or more years of progressive experience in service and a demonstrated history of management and leadership are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership and management of service and production team members, scheduling and assigning staff for repairs and upfits, monitoring and improving vehicle quality, providing guidance for assembly challenges, working with the parts and capital equipment teams to ensure parts and chassis come together for build slots, and assisting with the daily management operations of the branch. This is an in-person office-based role which requires significant attention to detail, excellent organization, and a drive to anticipate challenges, head-off problems, and communicate effectively throughout.
An experienced foreman with management aspirations or a current Production or Service Manager would be an ideal fit for this role. Employees that have been successful for us have come from broad and varied backgrounds including marine, light automotive, manufacturing, heavy industry, and heavy equipment, but they all share a few common traits: They’re curious, accountable, responsible, and independent logical thinkers with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. They’re technically savvy, and they can communicate politely and professionally with clients, engineering, parts, and procurement.
We encourage all candidates with interest and direct or adjacent knowledge and experience to apply.
