We are seeking a motivated and experienced Siding Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate siding installation projects. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, efficient workflow, and safety on job sites. As a key team leader, you will guide a crew of skilled workers, manage materials, and ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Your expertise in construction, carpentry, and siding installation will drive the success of each project while fostering a positive team setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise siding installation crews, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to guide installation processes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to install various siding materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for siding projects
- Apply caulking techniques to ensure weatherproofing and a finished appearance
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project to meet safety standards and client expectations
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule work phases, order materials, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to siding installation,
including framing adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support team members with handyman skills when necessary to ensure smooth workflow
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on siding installation or related trades
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to read blueprints confidently
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during projects
- Knowledge of various siding materials, installation techniques, and weatherproofing methods
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a lead hand or foreman is preferred
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction environments
