Site Superintendent – Industrial Construction

Location: Canora, Saskatchewan

Salary: $105,000–$125,000+ depending on experience

Full-Time | Travel Required

Our client is an established Western Canadian construction company with a long track record delivering industrial, commercial and institutional projects. Operating as a General Contractor, Construction Manager and Design Builder, the company is also experienced in pre-engineered steel buildings and concrete-intensive construction projects.

They are currently seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead in office construction activities for a project in Canora, Saskatchewan.

The Role The Site Superintendent will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the construction site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, schedule and budget.

This is a field-focused leadership position. We are looking for someone who is highly visible on site, works closely with trades and crews, and takes an active role in keeping the project moving rather than managing primarily from the site trailer.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate day-to-day construction activities on site

- Supervise subcontractors and direct-hire crews

- Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, schedule and quality requirements

- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and deliveries

- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain project schedules and minimize delays

- Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve field issues

- Oversee concrete-related construction activities

- Participate in planning and short-term scheduling

- Represent the company in meetings with clients and project stakeholders

- Complete required site documentation, including timesheets, quantity reports and purchase orders

- Maintain a strong field presence and provide leadership to site personnel

- Promote and enforce company health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications





- Minimum 3 years of construction supervisory experience

- Approximately 7+ years of Canadian construction experience preferred

- Strong industrial construction experience preferred

- Demonstrated experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades

- Strong knowledge of concrete construction and experience supervising concrete work

- Proven ability to lead field personnel and keep projects on schedule

- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and sequencing

- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety

- Journeyperson Carpenter certification is an asset

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

- Ability and willingness to travel and work project-specific shifts

The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a dependable, hardworking construction professional who enjoys being actively involved in field operations. You should be comfortable coordinating subcontractors, supervising crews, solving construction issues as they arise and maintaining a strong presence on site.

Experience with industrial construction and concrete work will be particularly valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary of approximately $105,000–$125,000, with flexibility for exceptional experience
