As a strategic partner under the Director of Operations, you will lead health and safety initiatives for a workforce exceeding 300 employees. Your role focuses on enhancing the Safety Management System and ensuring operational compliance while engaging employees in safety practices. Key Responsibilities: • Implement and govern the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Direct the rollout of safety programs and standards • Mentor safety personnel and ensure training efficacy • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations • Oversee safety audits and manage incident reporting
Requirements: • Educational background in Occupational Health and Safety • 7–10 years of health and safety experience in leadership • Robust understanding of WorkSafeBC and compliance standards • Experience in cannabis or manufacturing industries preferred • Proven ability to lead and influence change
