The Admission Council (TAC) is expanding its domestic and international student recruitment operations and is looking for an experienced Student Advisor – African Market to join our growing team.

We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong experience working with students and clients from African markets, along with a proven background in education counselling, student recruitment, and the Canadian immigration/education market.

The ideal candidate understands the African student recruitment landscape, has experience working with students from multiple African countries, and can effectively communicate with prospective students and their families while guiding them through Canadian education options.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students from African countries regarding Canadian colleges, universities, and career-focused programs.
- Understand each student's academic background, career goals, budget, and long-term objectives to recommend suitable education pathways.
- Handle leads from social media, website inquiries, referrals, education events, webinars, and other marketing channels.
- Conduct consultations and follow up consistently with prospective students.
- Explain program options, admission requirements, tuition fees, intakes, and application procedures.
- Assist students with the overall admissions process, including document collection and application coordination.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the African student recruitment market and understand the different student profiles, concerns, motivations, and decision-making factors across key African markets.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of major African student recruitment markets, including but not limited to Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, and other relevant markets.
- Use knowledge of the Canadian education and study-permit environment to provide appropriate general guidance and coordinate cases with the relevant licensed immigration professionals where required.
- Build trust and maintain professional relationships with students and their families.
- Follow up with leads through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, video meetings,



and other communication channels.
- Maintain accurate lead and student information in the company's CRM.
- Meet monthly counselling, application, and enrollment targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with students throughout the admission process.
- Stay updated on changes to Canadian education programs, admission requirements, and relevant immigration policies.

Required Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in student recruitment, education counselling, admissions, immigration services, or a related field.
- Strong and demonstrable experience working with African student markets.
- Previous experience working with Canadian education and/or immigration-related services is strongly preferred.
- Experience handling students interested in studying in Canada from one or more African countries.
- Strong understanding of Canadian colleges, universities, programs, admission processes, and student pathways.
- Proven experience working with student leads and converting inquiries into applications and enrollments.
- Strong communication, counselling, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable communicating through phone, WhatsApp, email, and virtual meetings.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a target-driven team.
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with students and families from different African markets.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Canadian education consultancy, immigration consultancy, college/university recruitment agency, or student recruitment organization.
- Existing experience recruiting students from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, or other African markets.




- Strong understanding of African education systems and international student recruitment trends.
- Existing professional network or market relationships within African student recruitment markets is an asset.
- Experience handling high-volume student inquiries and maintaining a structured sales pipeline.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Experience working with Canadian study-permit applicants is an asset.
- Experience participating in education fairs, seminars, webinars, information sessions, or student recruitment events is an asset.
- Additional experience with other international student recruitment markets is an asset.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is highly familiar with the African student recruitment market, understands the different needs and expectations of students and families across African countries, and can confidently manage the journey from initial inquiry to enrollment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Canadian student recruitment and be able to identify qualified students, recommend appropriate education pathways, maintain consistent follow-up, and convert prospective students into successful enrollments.
