Glama Gal Kids Spa u0026 Party Studio

Ajax

Do you love partying as much as we do? Are you the kind of person who sees what needs doing and just does it? Then keep reading.

Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax is looking for a Studio Manager who can run the show - someone who keeps our studio humming behind the scenes and isn't afraid to bust out their best dance moves when a party needs it.

This is a real management role: you'll be the main point of contact for our customers, the leader of our party host team, and the person who makes sure every party goes off without a hitch.

About Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax

We're an award-winning kids spa and arts and crafts studio specializing in birthday parties, spa packages, camps, workshops, events and empowerment programs - in our studio and at customers' homes and venues.

We're not just any kids party studio. Since 2012, our focus has always been inner beauty, self-confidence and positivity, and we work to instill these values in every child who walks through our doors.

What You'll Do

As Studio Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day studio experience and help lead the team in delivering smooth, well-organized parties, programs and customer service. You’ll oversee key areas including customer communication, bookings and scheduling, team coordination, party and event execution, general studio operations and social media.

Your job is to make sure every child who visits us feels special, has a great time, and walks out the door with a little more self-confidence and self-worth - and that every parent has such a smooth, friendly experience that they can't wait to book again.

- Customer communication and booking coordination: Respond to customer calls, emails and voicemails; welcome and check in guests; confirm party details including themes, packages, guest counts,

payments and special requests; review booking forms against reservations; resolve discrepancies before party day; and support customers with gift cards, balances and online redemption.
- Reservations and scheduling: Schedule services in the reservation system, maintain accurate booking and cancellation information, update guest records and contact details, and manage rebookings throughout the day.
- Staff scheduling and coverage: Prepare the weekly schedule for a team of approximately 14 employees, collect monthly availability, and coordinate schedule changes related to new bookings, rescheduling, time-off requests, shift swaps and last-minute staffing needs.
- Team leadership and work completion: Support and direct the party host team, delegate responsibilities, review completed work, follow up on outstanding tasks, monitor day-to-day workflow, and step in as the team lead when the owner is not in the studio.
- Party and event execution: Lead and support birthday parties, workshops and events for children ages 5–13; manage event timing, setup, staffing and guest flow; coordinate off-site and mobile party preparation; and brief team members assigned to external events.
- Children’s activities and play-based services: Engage children in storytelling, arts and crafts, singing, games and dance activities, and provide play-based services including nail painting, simple hairstyles, kid-friendly facials and light makeup.
- Payments and cash closing: Process customer payments, record cash tips, and complete end-of-day cash counting and reconciliation.
- Supplies, catering and studio readiness:

Prepare supplies based on upcoming bookings, order pizza and other party catering, purchase required supplies from local stores, and ensure the studio is clean, organized and ready for customers by following the weekly cleaning checklist.
- Social media support: Assist with content and activity across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok as part of the studio’s day-to-day operations.

Nice to have:

- Currently studying, planning to attend, or graduated from Teachers College, Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Studies, or a related field
- Previous event management, retail or party coordination experience
- Experience using Shopify is an asset
- Creative or artistic skills, including storytelling, arts, crafts, or similar hands-on activities
- Experience working in environments that involve children, families, programs, camps, events, or recreation
- Experience with Microsoft Office, POS, online booking systems, and social media platforms
