Reporting to the Director of Health & Wellness, the Supportive Housing Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and operation of Cheam First Nation's Supportive Housing Program. The Manager provides strategic and operational leadership, supervises staff, ensures compliance with BC Housing requirements, manages program resources, and oversees the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe, trauma-informed services to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operation of the Supportive Housing Program.
- Supervise, coach, schedule, and evaluate program staff.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, respectful, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed services.
- Oversee resident admissions, occupancy, case coordination, and successful transitions.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate 24/7 program coverage.
- Monitor program budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure responsible use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with BC Housing funding agreements, reporting requirements, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit operational, financial, and statistical reports.
- Oversee incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate maintenance, food services, cultural programming, and contracted services.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with BC Housing, Indigenous organizations, health providers, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, privacy, and other applicable legislation.
- Participate in strategic planning and support continuous improvement of the program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, Ability, knowledge, and Experience

- Degree or diploma in Social Work, Human Services, Health Administration,



Indigenous Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience.
- Minimum five years' experience in supportive housing, homelessness, mental health, addictions, or social services.
- Minimum three years' leadership or management experience.
- Experience managing budgets, staff, and government-funded programs.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of supportive housing, Housing First principles, trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, and Indigenous cultural safety.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with residents, staff, community partners, and funding agencies.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain.

Working Conditions

- Work is performed in a supportive housing setting serving individuals with complex needs.
- Occasional exposure to crisis situations and challenging behaviors.
- May be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, and respond to operational emergencies outside regular business hours.
- Regular walking, standing,



and light physical activity throughout the facility.
