Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Traffic Control Person to ensure the safe and effective movement of vehicles and pedestrians around temporary workplaces. This role is vital for maintaining safety protocols, directing traffic flow, and supporting crews in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

· Regulating road traffic with the use of a stop/slow paddle;

· Effective use of radios and communication devices;

· Ensuring public traffic has priority into and out of temporary workplaces;

· Report unsafe acts;

· Assist pedestrians as needed;

· Follow directions from TWS;

· Always maintain active situational awareness;

· Ensure work environment is in compliance with any policies as directed by signer and management;

· Participate to collectively ensure the safety of fellow employees;

· Be reliable and punctual;

· Possess a valid TCP certification or be willing to get one;

· Be able to work a flexible work schedule. Weekends and evening are possible;

· Be willing to learn worksite protocols, safety procedures, and code of conduct;





· Comply with safety procedures and policies;

· Must have reliable transportation;

· Wear all the required PPE;

· Additional duties as directed by TWS;

· Alway carry your TCP certification on you and present it when required;

· Be in good physical health;

· Have good vision (glasses are fine);

· Have good hearing;

· Be alert;

· Exercise good judgement;

· Be pleasant and cooperative;

· Have no impairment that would reasonably prevent you from performing Traffic Control Person duties.

Requirements

- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to traffic management.
- Excellent communication skills for clear instructions and coordination with team members and the public.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Must be attentive to detail, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
