DG Express Inc is a growing transportation company based in Mississsauga, Ontario. We provide local LTL and FTL transportation services throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

We are looking for an experinced and motivated Truck Dispatcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispatching approximately 5 company trucks and outsource overflow to other carriers.

Load planning & scheduling

- Find and book loads from load boards, brokers, or direct customers
- Match freight to available trucks based on location, equipment type, hours of service, and weight
- Plan routes to maximize miles and minimize deadhead/empty miles
- Create daily schedule and organize loads accordingly

Driver communication & support

- Assign loads and send all pickup/delivery details to drivers
- Track drivers throughout the day via ELD/GPS and update ETA’s
- Schedule driver’s work time when applicable

Customer & broker relations





- Negotiate rates with brokers/shippers to keep profit margins healthy

- Provide customers with updates

- Compliance & documentation

- Ensure drivers stay compliant with MTO regulations
- Verify insurance, authority, and carrier package before dispatching
- Create load confirmation, Accept and save load confirmation

- Problem solving & optimization

- Reroute drivers when issues pop up to avoid being late or cancellation
- Handle appointment scheduling.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
