Location: Vancouver, BC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Compensation: $25–$28/hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Tuna Loiner to join a well-established seafood processing operation in Vancouver. This is a hands-on production position requiring previous tuna loining experience and confidence operating a band saw.
Key Responsibilities:
- Break down whole tuna into loins using a band saw
- Perform clean and precise loining cuts while maintaining yield
- Trim and portion tuna according to quality specifications
- Maintain consistency in cuts and product presentation
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Support overall production operations as needed
Requirements:
- Previous hands-on tuna loining experience is required
- Experience operating band saws in a production setting
- Understanding of yield, seafood handling, and quality standards
- Experience in a fast-paced seafood processing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Physically capable of working in a production environment
