Our E-Channel department is seeking a UI/UX Developer to join our team. This role has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Development of new user interfaces/components/templates. Ensure these interfaces are coded properly for Sitecore implementation.
- Sitecore implementation and development of components
- Conduct on-going bug fixes and enhancements.
- Unit test code to ensure rendering and functionality is flawless across all browsers and devices.
- Derive technical solutions based on project/task requirements.
- Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability.
- Optimize media assets such as videos and animations for online usage.
- Make necessary adjustments and changes based on amendments to requirements or feedback from stakeholders.
- Ensure proposed designs are properly translated in code, and the final developed piece is rendering perfectly across browsers and devices.
- Consult with designers regularly to make certain design specifications align with development structure, so that both design and development areas are cohesive and balanced.
- By consulting with designers, developers should ensure proposed designs function well technically, and designers are aware of the technical possibilities available to them.
- All UX/UI designers/developers should collaborate and work as one entity; ensuring designs are cohesive across all tasks, projects and channels.
- Together with designers, an appropriate work-back schedule should be determined and managed to ensure a timely delivery of the final product.
- Participation in off-business hours IT deployments and launches when required.
- Research, explore and learn new industry tools, best practices, new technologies, techniques and methodologies. Both your personal career development and CCG should benefit from your learning.
- Participate in continual review of our solutions and processes to improve results for the team.
- Invest time on research and development, elevating our team’s capabilities and skills.
Requirements The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, UX/UI design & development, or frontend development.
- Sensitivity to user interaction and experience, ability to translate design proposals into frontend code.
- Expertise in online usability best practices, knowledge of WCAG compliance standards.
- Expertise in responsive web design.
- Advanced experience and proficiency with tools of the trade, such as, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure and Sublime.
- Familiarity with development workflows, processes and development environments.
- Proficient in scalable and modular architecture for CSS.
- Proficient with Sitecore as a content management tool.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and work-arounds.
- Positive understanding of SEO best practices and principles.
- Team player with solid communication skills, able to interact effectively and work collaboratively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing, demanding environment. Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Ability to use project management tools such as JIRA.
