This position involves overseeing the Carnegie Community Centre’s Indigenous initiatives, managing daily operations, and developing partnerships with local agencies. You’ll lead programs, supervise staff, and enhance a welcoming workplace where all patrons can thrive. Your critical support will address community needs while ensuring safety and adherence to the Centre’s values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement Indigenous arts and education programs • Manage conflicts and uphold the Centre's code of conduct • Facilitate collaboration with local organizations and First Nations • Prepare reports and maintain program records • Organize staff schedules and training sessions
Requirements: • Degree in social work or related field preferred • Two years experience in community programming • Familiarity with asset-based community development • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultural practices • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities
