VP of Healthcare Construction - MEP (HVAC, Sheet Metal and Piping) - Vancouver, Portland and Salem Markets

Gryphon Oakwood is currently retained by a leading mechanical contractor in the Pacific Northwest who are seeking an executive-level leader to oversee their Healthcare construction operations across the Vancouver, Portland, and Salem markets .

This is a high-impact leadership prospect focused on the delivery and continued growth of $10M–$20M+ mechanical projects within the Healthcare sector.

The successful candidate will provide executive oversight across major Healthcare projects, leading project teams, developing client relationships, and ensuring strong operational, financial, and commercial performance across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the company's Healthcare construction operations across Vancouver, Portland, and Salem .
- Provide executive oversight of $10M–$20M+ MEP projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Lead, develop, and mentor Project Executives, Project Managers, and project teams .
- Oversee project financial performance, forecasting, margins, and commercial strategy.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with Healthcare owners, General Contractors, developers, and key stakeholders .
- Partner closely with estimating, preconstruction, BIM/VDC, engineering, and operations teams.
- Drive project delivery standards across safety,



quality, productivity, schedule, and profitability .
- Support preconstruction and project pursuits, helping secure and develop major Healthcare opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand the company's Healthcare presence across the Pacific Northwest.
- Build and develop a high-performing Healthcare project delivery team.

Ideal Background

- Senior leadership experience within mechanical construction .
- Strong background across HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping, or broader MEP construction .
- Proven experience delivering large-scale Healthcare projects .
- Experience overseeing projects in the $10M–$20M+ range .
- Strong understanding of Healthcare construction environments, including occupied facilities, renovations, expansions, and/or new-build facilities.
- Strong commercial and operational understanding, including P&L;, forecasting, project controls, and margin management .
- Experience leading large project teams and managing multiple major projects or a regional portfolio.
- Established relationships with Healthcare owners, GCs, developers, and industry stakeholders .
- Strong executive-level communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
