Role Description The Warehouse Supervisor is a full-time, in office role based in Edmonton, AB. This role oversees daily warehouse operations, including organizing and monitoring shipping and receiving activities, material handling, and inventory control processes.
The Warehouse
Supervisor coordinates workload, assigns tasks to warehouse team members, and ensures that orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
Responsibilities include enforcing safety standards, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, optimizing storage space,
and ensuring proper use of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with other departments to meet service and productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, training, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess experience in shipping & receiving and material handling within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory control, including stock rotation, cycle counts, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Candidates should possess safe and certified forklift operation skills and familiarity with other warehouse equipment.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of steel or industrial products, advanced computer and ERP system skills, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or lead role and a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.
