We’re looking for a kindred spirit — a Freelance Agile Coach & Trainer
Agile Lounge® by AFJ is opening a part-time, on-site collaboration this October in the Greater Montréal Metropolitan Area.
I’ve just landed a new mandate, so I’m inviting ONE trusted freelancer to co-deliver an “Intro to Agile” learning experience alongside me — the Agile Lounge way. This is a science-driven, highly regulated workplace. Real teams, real stakes, real humans (#H2H).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Facilitate on-site “Intro to Agile” sessions grounded in the 4 values & 12 principles — not framework dogma.
• Bring Agile to life as an agnostic, empirical posture: experiment, learn, adapt to the team’s real context.
• Read the room, meet people face to face, and spark curiosity rather than push a model.
• Prep light, interactive materials and run hands-on exercises.
• Collaborate closely with me to keep every session tailored and honest.
WHO YOU ARE
• A facilitator first: warm, credible, comfortable leading a room of any size.
• Fluent in Agile fundamentals (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) with real project scars — not just slides.
• English-first AND able to teach in French. The client works primarily in English, but you’ll switch to French when the room needs it.
• Certified (Scrum, Agile coaching, professional coaching) is a plus — not a gate. Your posture matters more than your badge.
• You resonate with invitation-based change and #NOPROJECTS thinking — or you’re hungry to.
THE LOUNGE WAY TO APPLY — NO CV, PLEASE
We don’t read résumés. Instead:
1. Send us a short message telling us why this resonates with you.
2. Share your website, portfolio, LinkedIn,
or any online profile so we can get a feel for who you are.
3. Answer these 3 questions straight from your own knowledge and practice — no studying, no Googling, No AIing! Will know it once we meet!
These are the fundamentals every real Agile coach already carries; if someone has never met them, they shouldn’t be coaching a team, and we both know it. Show us you’re the real deal:
• Agile isn’t a methodology or a framework — it’s a set of 4 values and 12 principles, an agnostic and empirical posture. In your own words, how do you make that land with a room of brand-new adopters?
• A real Agile coach already carries the foundations — the Manifesto, the Scrum Guide, Kanban, DevOps, XP, and “Agile Testing” as a team sport. Which of these shaped your practice most, and how does it show up when you coach?
• Name a thinker or source that lit your fire i Scrum or Agile Your call. And What did they teach you that you still pass on today?
(These echo our own agile OG path — but a real coach answers from the gut, not from a browser tab.)
THE FINE PRINT (please read before reaching out)
• For freelancers registered or — better — incorporated in Canada / Québec, able to invoice Agile Lounge® by AFJ.
• Open ONLY to Canadian citizens. No permanent residents, no visas. Citizenship and background checks are required by our client for regulatory compliance.
FOOTNOTE — READ ME TWICE
We will NOT respond to any message from staffing firms, agencies, or peddlers. Please don’t waste your time wasting ours.

Let’s do it, in togetherness. Ensemble et différents™
