Become a vital part of the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre as a Youth Housing Client Relations Liaison in Dartmouth, NS. This full-time role focuses on providing crucial support to urban Indigenous youth in a culturally rich setting. Full-time candidates are needed for a unique position that involves crisis management, maintaining client confidentiality, and implementing a client-centered model.
You will help residents navigate long-term housing challenges while maintaining a positive living environment for youth transitioning from foster care. This is an essential role in connecting clients with community resources and supports for their healing journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver congruent programming aligned with MNFC’s mission
- Ensure a safe and positive living space for clients
- Manage daily operations and help clients follow schedules
- Maintain accurate client documentation and database entries
- Advocate for client rights in various systems Requirements:
- Diploma in community social services or social work
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Indigenous populations preferable
- Knowledge of community resources and services
