Become a vital part of the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre as a Youth Housing Client Relations Liaison in Dartmouth, NS. This full time role focuses on providing crucial support to urban Indigenous youth in a culturally rich environment.
Full-time candidates are needed for a unique position that involves crisis management, maintaining client confidentiality, and implementing a client-centered model. You will help residents navigate long-term housing challenges while maintaining a positive living environment for youth transitioning from foster care. This is an essential role in connecting clients with community resources and supports for their healing journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver congruent programming aligned with MNFC’s mission • Ensure a safe and positive living space for clients • Manage daily operations and help clients follow schedules • Maintain accurate client documentation and database entries • Advocate for client rights in various systems
Requirements: • Diploma in community social services or social work • At least 3 years of relevant experience • Experience with Indigenous populations preferable • Knowledge of community resources and services • Proven skills in client support and crisis management
