Compensation: CAD $73.00 an hour, CAD $109.50 overtime

Per diem: CAD $ 248.55 a day

Travel: CAD .84 per KM up to 600

Duration: 1 day project for fill in. longer term project upcoming in this area

The HSE Technicians should have a BS degree in EH&S; and 3 years of safety experience or a CRSP, CRST, ROH or ROHT with 5 years of prior experience overseeing commercial or industrial construction sites. Candidates will oversee onsite safety programs and document all safety observations to the Senior Safety Director.

Responsibilities





- Monitor and enforce site safety standards to ensure compliance with OSHA ad client specific standards
- Conduct safety audits, hazmat assessments and incident investigations.
- Support toolbox talks, safety orientations and field level training
- Possess good verbal and written communications skills
- Interface with site personnel and management to promote proactive safety culture
- Extensive documentation, organizational and technical writing skills
- Maintain accurate records, safety audits and etc. utilizing digital reporting tools.
- Assumes responsibility of monitoring, updating, and maintaining client’s compliance platform.

Requirements:

- Must have a BS Degree in EH&S; and 3 yrs of safety experience or a CRSP, CRST, ROH or ROHT with 5 years of construction safety.
- Must be highly proficient with and possess certifications for:
- LOTO, Fall protection, NFPA 70-E, First aid/CPR/AED
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Procore or other safety reporting tool).
