Position # : 9013570 Expected Start Date: October 13, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Urgent Care Centre Saskatoon City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Urgent Care Type: Full time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: Per 4 weeks: 1 shifts of 8 hours 12 shifts of 11.78 hours Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Extended Shift Hours (11.78) Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Primary Health Nurse Practitioner RN(NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience.

The Nurse Practitioner blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common medical disorders and stable chronic conditions.
The RN(NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. The practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.

Human Resources Exemption:



No Experience Three (3)yrs full-time experience as a Registered Nurse and Emerg Room & /or UCC Education Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS) Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) Competencies Critical thinking skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to provide holistic care to individuals,families & the community Organize/prioritize work on multiple projects with competing deadlines Demonstrates capacity for visioning, goal setting and utilizing change theory Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development Demonstrates leadership abilities Knowledge in community development and facilitation strategies Knowledge in clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment Ability to handle difficult situations resulting in productive outcomes Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge in communication strategy, methods and tools Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care Ability to adapt to ever changing environments Knowledge of assessing individuals with chronic illness or disabling conditions Demonstrates educational skills & strategies produce positive healthy outcomes Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation Demonstrates clinical/health assessment, diagnostic, pharmacotherapeutic Other Information Valid driver's license, where required
