Position # : V37030 Expected Start Date: October 13, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Population and Public Health - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Immunization Type: Part time temporary Expected Up to Date: August 04, 2027 FTE: 0.64 Shift Information: Days, Evenings and Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: 144 hours per 6 weeks; 18 shifts of 8 hours Relief: No Float: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Public Health Nurse translates knowledge from the health and social sciences to support health-enhancing behaviors of individuals, families and population groups through targeted interventions, programs, and advocacy.
Inherent in this role are knowledge, skills, and abilities specific to health promotion, prevention, and protection. This employee focuses on the immunization program for adults, high risk individuals and international travelers and works relatively independently.

This employee liaises with, and refers to, other health personnel, other sectors and community groups. The Public Health Nurse works within guidelines established by Health Region policy to plan, organize, implement and evaluate nursing programs in an assigned area, under the direction and supervision of a Public Health Nursing supervisor.
Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Minimum of two (2) years recent relevant experience in public health nursing Experience delivering a diverse range of immunizations Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Demonstrates knowledge in community development/assessment. Demonstrates skill in group education, individual counselling and advocacy Demonstrates flexibility by adjusting workload to accommodate client needs. Willingness to adhere to established Public Health policies and procedures.
Uses critical analysis, reflective practice and assessment. Evaluates nursing interventions in individual, group and community outcomes. Uses independent judgment based on Public Health principles. High level of accuracy in health assessment, nursing diagnosis and treatment.
Uses knowledge of determinants of health in interactions with clients. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement. Ability to analyze health issues in the context of political & social climate Demonstrated knowledge in educational resource development.
