SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONPerson who does the identification and analysis of the needs of the population with concerned groups. She/he designs, coordinates and updates community organization programs to meet the needs of the community and promote its development. She/he acts as a resource person for the groups.REQUIREMENTSEducation:Bachelor degree in human or social sciences such as social work, psychoeducation or psychology.Experience:Three (3) years of experience mainly in group monitoring and in project coordination achieved in partnership or in community organization; Work experiencewith community concertation tables.Please note that applicants who do not meet the above-mentioned requirements may be considered for this position if they possess the following alternative profile:College Diploma in a related field of studies cumulated with five (5)



years of appropriate work experience.Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of community-based services related to families and their children living in a vulnerable context; Knowledge of social/health issues and impacts of historic events in Eeyou Istchee; Knowledge of group care; Understanding of families and human relations; Knowledge of Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigms is an asset; Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills; Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills; Excellent interpersonal and listening communication skills; Autonomous, flexible and versatile discrete and empathetic; Oral, written and interpersonal communication and listening skills; Sense of creativity, solution-oriented and dynamism.LANGUAGEFluent in Cree and English; French is an asset.
