Reporting to the Intellectual Property Engineer, your main duties will be to :

• Participate in the evaluation of new concepts to identify potential innovations
• Conduct prior art searches
• Participate in the drafting of patent applications
• Coordinate the monitoring of new patents with engineering teams
• Analyze existing patents
• Participate in the evaluation of potential issues of encroachment on third-party intellectual property rights by products offered by Soucy

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you’ll thrive in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience
• At least three (3) years of experience
• Bilingualism (English and French) to communicate with our English-speaking partners
• Attention to detail, patience,
  
  
  
  and the ability to maintain focus over long periods of time
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation in a structured manner
• Independence and resourcefulness
