Your team builds the systems and integrations that enable efficient go‑to‑market execution: landing pages, campaign tooling, tracking and attribution, audience segmentation, experimentation support, and third‑party MarTech integrations. You’ll partner closely with Product, Performance Marketing, Partnerships, Data Platform, and Analytics to translate growth strategy into high‑leverage technical capabilities and deliver measurable impact on conversion, retention, and lifetime value.What You’ll DoLead the engineering strategy and execution for Scribd®’s Growth Platform, spanning acquisition enablement, promotional offer support, audience segmentation, and lifecycle marketing integrations.Build and manage a high‑performing full‑stack team, developing engineers while cultivating a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.Stay deeply technical: act as an architectural and execution partner, driving thoughtful system design, pragmatic tradeoffs, and sustainable delivery.Partner closely with stakeholders to translate business goals into roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver high‑impact initiatives across multiple brands and channels.Lead integrations with paid media platforms and third‑party data exchange tooling to support conversion tracking, offline/online event feeds, audience sync, and campaign measurement.Own cross‑channel measurement foundations: champion reliable instrumentation, telemetry, attribution quality, and data‑informed decision making in partnership with Analytics.Drive integration and vendor decisions across the MarTech stack – evaluating tools, designing integrations, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.Champion engineering excellence in reliability, scalability, code quality, testing, and continuous delivery,



enabling Growth teams to move rapid with confidence.What We’re Looking ForMust‑Haves7+ years of engineering experience, including 3‑5+ years in engineering management and leading high‑performing teams delivering customer‑facing or platform systems.Demonstrated growth impact: teams that measurably improved conversion, retention, engagement, and/or LTV (ideally in subscription or consumer products).Strong technical foundation and architecture depth; guidance on scalable system design and quality bars within ambiguous environments.Experience with growth and marketing systems: SEM, ad platform integrations, attribution/tracking, experimentation frameworks, customer engagement platforms, CDPs, CMS/landing page systems, analytics instrumentation, or marketing APIs.Cross‑functional leadership strength: alignment of diverse stakeholders, clear prioritization, and execution in fast‑paced environments.People‑first leadership: proven ability to coach, develop, and retain strong engineers while fostering psychological safety and high standards.Bonus ExperienceDeep familiarity with multi‑channel paid acquisition, tracking/attribution challenges (web and mobile), and data quality practices.Hands‑on experience with event tracking, experimentation platforms, segmentation systems, offer/promo tooling, or funnel optimization in subscription products.Experience operating platform teams serving multiple internal customers with clear SLAs, roadmaps, and support models.Why This Role, Why Now?Growth Platform is a force multiplier: strong foundations enable teams across Performance Marketing, Lifecycle, Partnerships, and Product to ship faster, learn more reliably, and scale what works across Scribd’s portfolio. and building scalable systems that drive acquisition and retention outcomes.CompensationIn San Francisco, the reasonable expected salary range is $178,500 to $278,500. Outside California, the range is $157,500 to $264,500. In Canada, the range is $201,000 CAD to $266,500 CAD. Pay ranges reflect local cost of labor benchmarks and may vary by role level.
