The Advanced Development Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of innovative product concepts from ideation through to handoff for commercialization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, capable of navigating ambiguity, driving innovation, and aligning engineering solutions with business and customer needs. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead Innovation: Identify and define new product opportunities and enhancements based on market/technological trends, customer, and legislative needs. Develop and Validate Concepts: Create, analyze, and test innovative concepts using engineering tools and prototypes. Lead internal teams and external partners to align development with business goals. Lead Incubator Session Process: Assemble and guide cross-functional discussions to generate recent ideas and solutions, and follow up to implementation Manage Projects: Oversee advanced development projects from concept to handoff, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Engage Customers: Interface with customers to generate excitement, gather feedback and refine concepts to meet their needs. Support IP and Technology Strategy: Contribute to patent filings and stay current with emerging technologies.
