Become a vital part of the Town of Fort Smith's Childcare team as a Community Services Assistant I. Support early childhood programs while engaging children in fun and educational activities.
This casual position is perfect for individuals who love working with children ages 0–6. You will assist with supervising activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a clean daycare setting. Your role will also involve interaction with Primary Care Workers to provide essential support and monitor children’s progress.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage children with stories, songs, and crafts
• Prepare snacks and organize rooms for activities
• Support children with eating and personal habits
• Submit observations to Primary Care Workers
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist with cleaning
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
• Minimum age of 16 years
• Experience with children aged 0–6 required
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
