DHL Express currently has an opening for anOperations Supervisor – Gatewayat our facility inMount Hope, ON .The Operations Supervisor provides hands-on, proactive management of employees engaged in the daily export, clearance, and transit of packages and freight, within prescribed standards of cost, efficiency, accuracy, and on-time distribution. The supervisor implements new procedures to improve operational effectiveness and provides performance reports for management. Responsible for activities related to timely, safe loading and dispatch of DHL Aircraft in compliance with all regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesRecruits, orients, trains, schedules, manages and recommends discipline for all operations staffEstablishes and implements productivity, quality and cost measurements and strategies to achieve desired operational resultsEnsures timely and accurate distribution of inbound and/or outgoing freight daily, in accordance with established standards and proceduresEnsures compliance with regulatory bodies and regulations related to ground and air transportation of goods and loading and dispatching trailers and trucksEnsures load planning and security of all equipment and vehicles usedEnsures staff permits and ground operation audits are up to dateCompletes accurate and timely reports for management (staff schedules, attendance records, recruitment/payroll documentation, dangerous goods incidents, WSIB reports, load quality,
