Our client, a private home care center in Halifax, is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide essential services aligned with residents' care plans. This rewarding role requires assisting residents with hygiene tasks, daily living activities, and minimal lifting, all while ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with bathing and dressing
• Support oral care and skin care routines
• Answer call bells promptly and efficiently
• Maintain tidy and organized resident rooms
• Measure and record intake and outputs accurately
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid or Basic Life Support certification
• Completion of CCA/PCW course required
• Prior experience in a similar role preferred
• Alzheimer’s course completion is an asset
• Solid communication skills in English
