Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering about one quarter of the Alberta government’s Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development. The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans. This position is a key contributor to the support services of the department's Project Procurement Specialists (PPS) in support of the department's procurement function. To be effective, the position performs daily administration of operational and administrative functions for tender services. This ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Procurement Section within the parameters of the current business plan, mandate and tendering practices of Alberta Infrastructure. The primary responsibilities for the Project Procurement Specialist Support include, but are not limited to:



Running/completing message analyzers to determine if emails are received on time; forwarding to the applicable manager for confirmation of late status Overseeing/responding to requests from the Procurement Support, Tender Administration, Procurement Services and Back up to Contract Review Committee mailboxes Posting notices on the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) website for external postings and related Addenda/Clarifications Validating status on the Corporate Registry System (CORES) and confirming legal name as it appears in CORES and on the bid/fee form Setting up new vendors and vendor locations in ICAPS once an active CORES status has been confirmed Validating correct Expenditure Officer's (EO) are in place and their approvals are complete for pending approvals as it relates to acting positions and contract amounts (pre-contract estimate compared to contract award may require additional approvals not listed). Minimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification. Required: High School Diploma PLUS Two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience. Assets: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe. Notes

This position is a Temporary, full-time role (1 year contract) with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday (8:15 am – 4:30 pm). Location: Edmonton AB.
