Job Title: Aerospace Painter This role focuses on preparing, painting, and finishing aerospace components in a high-volume production environment. The position involves mixing custom paint formulations, applying coatings to precise specifications, and documenting quality results while working primarily in a paint booth on a night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Evaluate each aerospace part to determine the correct paint formulation and finish requirements.

Mix paint accurately according to specifications, ensuring proper color, viscosity, and consistency.

Lay out parts on trays and perform thorough cleaning and preparation, including wiping down surfaces.

Apply primer and top coat to parts, following established procedures and quality standards.

Use paint guns, sprayers, and related paint shop equipment to spray parts and ensure full coverage from all angles.

Place painted parts on a belt system to be transferred into the furnace for baking and curing.

Remove parts from the oven after baking and hang them properly to cool and cure as required.

Perform documentation related to quality checks, recording measurements and inspection results accurately.

Use basic measuring tools to verify paint thickness and ensure adherence to aerospace specifications.

Work efficiently in a high-volume production workplace while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area.

Essential Skills

At least 1+ years of painting experience in an aerospace environment.

Proven ability to mix paint independently and accurately.

Strong understanding of paint thickness requirements and their impact on part performance and quality.

Hands-on experience with paint guns, paint sprayers, and paint booth operations.

Experience with paint preparation and application, including primer and top coat processes.

Ability to use basic measuring tools to verify paint thickness and quality.

Background working with aerospace parts, such as landing gear or similar components.

Capability to work effectively in a high-volume production facility.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent,



high-quality finishes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in an aerospace production facility handling a high volume of parts.

Familiarity with various paint systems, paint machines, and paint shop processes.

Comfort working with different paint application tools, including paintbrushes and automated paint systems.

Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality documentation procedures.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple parts and batches simultaneously.

Work Environment You will work primarily in a dedicated paint booth within an aerospace production facility, focusing on high-volume parts. The role is on a night shift schedule from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

You will use professional painting equipment such as paint guns, paint sprayers, paint mixing systems, and basic measuring tools, and you will interact with furnace and belt systems for curing painted parts. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to standardized processes while working with industrial coatings and aerospace components.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills,



relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Vaughan,ON.
