Elevate patient meal experiences at Shared Health as a Diet Aide, focusing on protected food handling and quality service in-person.
This role, based in the Nutrition and Food Services department, involves assembling meal trays following specific portion guidelines and managing food supplies. A valid Food Handler's certificate is required, and knowledge of Indigenous languages and customs is preferred. You will also be accountable for maintaining cleanliness and participating in Quality Assurance Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and prepare patient meal trays accurately
• Stock food items and supplies in designated areas
• Clean and sanitize kitchenware and service areas
• Deliver meal carts to patients in allocated areas
• Engage in Quality Assurance Programs for food service
Requirements:
• Experience in food service is essential
• Valid Food Handler's certificate is a must
• Effective communication skills in English required
• Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting
• Flexibility to handle tasks in changing environments
