Company Description FlightGlobe — Travel Tracker is a personal travel app designed for frequent flyers and travel enthusiasts, turning flight history into a visual journey on an interactive 3D globe. The app provides lifetime statistics such as total distance flown, travel time, airports, and countries visited, helping users understand and reflect on their travel patterns. Users can search live flight status by flight number and date, view detailed route information, times, terminals, gates, and schedule changes, and organize trips by year.

Built with a clean, dark interface, FlightGlobe enables quick pre-trip checks and intuitive long-term travel tracking, offering an engaging experience for modern travelers.

Role Description This is a remote contract role for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at FlightGlobe. The AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that enhance travel tracking, flight prediction, and user experience within the app. Day-to-day tasks include implementing pattern recognition and neural network solutions, integrating NLP features for search and user interaction, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable AI services.

The role also involves optimizing model performance,

maintaining data pipelines, documenting technical decisions, and contributing to continuous improvement of the app’s intelligent features.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and version control.
- Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and deploying machine learning models.
- Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries to power search and text-based features.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages, and familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and meet contractual deadlines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in travel, mapping, or real-time data applications is a plus, as is prior work on consumer mobile or web products.
