Being an assistant principal in secondary education is not just about managing day-to-day operations: it’s about directly influencing the journey, motivation, and success of hundreds of students.

In this key role, you will be at the heart of the action to:

Increase success and graduation rates

Through targeted interventions, strong pedagogical leadership, and decisions that have a real impact.

Navigate the vibrant reality of adolescence

Motivation on a rollercoaster, behavioral challenges, engagement to stimulate… you will be a pillar for students and teams.

Create a positive, safe, and inclusive school climate

Because an environment where students feel good is an environment where they learn better.

Support and develop school teams

By guiding them in pedagogical practices adapted to a diverse and constantly evolving clientele.

Orchestrate the complexity of secondary education

Varied programs, multiple profiles, different realities: you enjoy when things are dynamic and require finesse in decision-making.

Join a committed team and contribute concretely to the success, graduation, and well-being of adolescents.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development and implementation of the educational project and the success plan of the institution;

- Support and mobilize teaching staff in the continuous improvement of pedagogical practices;

- Ensure the management of resources (human, financial, and material) in line with the CSSMB's orientations;

- Participate in managing the school climate, behaviors, and student life;

- Collaborate closely with parents and community partners;

- Contribute to the decision-making of the governing board and ensure the follow-up of orientations.

Requirements

- A deep understanding of adolescent and school realities in secondary education;





- Recognized skills in pedagogical leadership and team mobilization;

- A strong ability to adapt in diverse and complex environments;

- A developed sense of priority management and decision-making;

- A collaborative approach focused on student success and well-being.

- Possess five (5) years of teaching experience.

Candidates must ultimately commit to a training process leading to the attainment of a graduate diploma (DESS) with a minimum of thirty credits in management or school administration to be completed within five years following the assignment.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Education - Requirement

- Spoken French - High - Requirement

- Written French - High - Requirement
