Join the AJISS Coastal Support team in Victoria as a Technical Specification Writer. Leverage your electrical engineering skills to support the Royal Canadian Navy's offshore vessels.
This full-time role requires at least three years of technical experience, knowledge of marine electrical systems, and proficiency in writing specifications and Statements of Work (SOWs). You will collaborate with various teams, conduct onsite investigations, and support corrective maintenance activities. Your expertise will help ensure that high-quality maintenance is maintained for the AOPV and JSS class vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Work Instructions and Statements of Work (SOW)
• Liaise with OEMs and ship staff to determine defect resolutions
• Conduct onboard investigations to resolve defects
• Propose improvements for Technical Document Packages (TDP)
• Assist in managing corrective maintenance works
Requirements:
• 2-year technical diploma in electrical field
• 3 years of marine/offshore technical experience
• Robust knowledge of marine electrical systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication skills in English
