Banking IT Project Manager

Location: Montréal, QC (Hybrid)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Banking IT Project Manager to lead strategic technology and business transformation initiatives within a banking workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong banking background, proven project delivery experience, and the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders while driving projects from initiation through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
- Drive project governance, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level communications.
- Coordinate business, operations, technology, compliance, risk, and vendor teams.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Facilitate project meetings, track deliverables, and ensure successful implementation.
- Ensure projects follow established SDLC, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Provide clear reporting on project progress, milestones,



and key decisions.
- Collaborate with banking stakeholders to support business objectives and operational improvements.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience.
- Strong experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
- Proven track record managing complex technology or business transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience with project governance, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and related project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP Certification.
- Experience managing banking transformation initiatives.
- Consulting experience within banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of payments, treasury, cash management, or core banking environments is an asset.
