Project Engineer – Battery Testing

Seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to coordinate, schedule, and track battery testing activities across the facility.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Engineer will manage battery pack and cell test requests, monitor testing throughput, optimize laboratory resources, and support product development and validation milestones. This role offers an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams in a world-class battery testing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate battery pack and cell testing activities to support product development and validation objectives.
- Partner with Product Development and Validation teams to understand current and future testing requirements.
- Work with test requestors to improve the quality, completeness, and timing of test requests.
- Develop and maintain test schedules and capacity forecasts aligned with program plans and milestones.
- Optimize utilization of test channels, equipment, laboratory resources, and overall testing capacity.
- Track testing progress, throughput, equipment utilization, and issue resolution.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact testing schedules or project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and develop recovery plans.
- Capture and implement lessons learned to continuously improve testing processes and project execution.
- Provide regular reporting on test status, resource utilization,



project milestones, and key performance metrics.
- Escalate critical issues and risks to management as appropriate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong project management, planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience managing schedules, competing priorities, and technical workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust communication, analytical, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
- Experience with battery testing, product development, validation, laboratory operations, or a related engineering environment is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a cooperative, cross-functional environment.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a proactive and highly organized engineer who can manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple stakeholders, identify risks, and drive execution to ensure battery testing programs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Work Location & Travel

- 100% onsite position, with intermittent hybrid work possible when approved and subject to corporate policy.
- Occasional travel to Auburn Hills, Michigan may be required.
- Ability to travel to the United States is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $42.00-$43.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
