Job Summary

We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Bodyshop Estimator to join our automotive repair team. In this role, you will be the vital link between customers, insurance companies, and our repair technicians, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from initial assessment to final repair approval. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional customer service while accurately estimating repair costs, coordinating repairs, and upselling additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and shop profitability.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and determine accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring clarity and transparency for customers and insurance adjusters.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to coordinate repairs, order necessary parts, and monitor progress.
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional services or repairs that enhance vehicle safety or performance, increasing shop revenue.




- Handle cash transactions accurately when processing payments or deposits from customers.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth workflow.

Experience

- 2+ Years prior experience working in a automotive body shop environment is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on mechanic experience is essential for understanding vehicle damage and repair processes.
- Proven ability in customer service roles within the automotive industry, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Experience with automotive repair procedures, parts ordering, and insurance claim processes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with upselling techniques and sales strategies to promote additional services confidently.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism in all customer interactions.
- Experience using Mitchell Connect and Imex software for estimating
