Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and grow strategic accounts in the landscape, turf, golf course, sports field, and outdoor maintenance markets, including national and regional landscape companies and golf course management groups.
2. Build relationships with key decision makers, including executives, regional operations leaders, fleet managers, procurement teams, branch managers, golf course superintendents, general managers, and facility operations teams.
3. Identify and pursue opportunities with national landscape chains, golf management groups, commercial contractors, institutional customers, and other high-potential enterprise accounts.
4. Develop new business through cold calls, site visits, product demonstrations, trade shows, networking, customer referrals, and strategic account outreach.
5. Conduct on-site product demonstrations, customer surveys, workflow assessments, pilot support, and solution presentations to help customers evaluate robotic and electric outdoor solutions.
6. Develop customer-specific proposals, pricing recommendations, ROI analysis, leasing or financing options, and deployment plans.
7. Own assigned sales targets, including revenue, unit sales, pipeline development, margin expectations, and payment collection follow-up for assigned accounts.
8. Coordinate internally with sales operations, logistics, service, deployment, finance, and technical teams to support order processing, delivery, installation, customer training, issue resolution, and payment follow-up.
9. Maintain strong customer engagement throughout the full customer lifecycle, including lead development, demo follow-up, pilot conversion, order execution, deployment, utilization, expansion, and renewal opportunities.
10. Drive account expansion opportunities,
including additional unit deployments, accessories, consumables, service programs, fleet expansion, and multi-location rollouts.
11. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer budget cycles, bid opportunities, and adoption trends in robotic, electric, and autonomous outdoor equipment.
12. Collaborate with marketing to support trade shows, roadshows, customer events, case studies, account-based campaigns, and vertical-specific sales materials.
13. Maintain accurate CRM records, including account plans, decision-maker maps, customer activity, demo status, opportunity stages, forecasts, follow-up actions, and collection status.
14. Provide regular territory, pipeline, account, forecast, and customer feedback updates to sales leadership.
15. Travel extensively within the assigned territory or target market to maintain strong field presence with customers, partners, and strategic accounts.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of business development, strategic account sales, territory sales, capital equipment sales, robotics, outdoor power equipment, landscape equipment, golf equipment, facility equipment, or related commercial sales experience.
3. Demonstrated ability to sell to commercial customers with longer sales cycles and multiple decision makers.
4. Proven ability to develop new business, build relationships, conduct product demonstrations,
negotiate deals, and close commercial opportunities.
5. Experience managing sales targets, revenue goals, pipeline forecasts, and customer follow-up.
6. Strong ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple priorities, and maintain disciplined follow-up.
7. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, training, and relationship-building skills.
8. Solid understanding of customer operations, equipment adoption, ROI justification, and field deployment requirements.
9. Willingness to travel frequently.
10. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Existing relationships with national or regional landscape service providers, golf course management groups, turf management organizations, or commercial outdoor maintenance companies.
2. Experience selling to or working with companies such as BrightView, TruGreen, Yellowstone Landscape, Aspen Grove, Troon, Invited / ClubCorp, KemperSports, or similar organizations.
3. Experience selling electric mowers, autonomous mowers, robotic equipment, outdoor power equipment, turf maintenance equipment, cleaning robots, facility equipment, or other new technology products.
4. Passion for new products, automation, robotics, electrification, and technology-driven operational improvement.
5. Experience working with landscape contractors, golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, facility managers, or operations teams.
6. Track record of managing $1M+ annual commercial sales revenue or strategic account pipeline.
7. Prior experience as a practitioner in landscape operations, turf management, golf course operations, or field service operations is a plus.
