Role Description The Business Development Associate is a contract, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting sales outreach to target clients in advanced manufacturing and metal fabrication. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, preparing and delivering presentations to prospective clients, and maintaining accurate records of business development activities in CRM or tracking tools.
The associate collaborates closely with technical and operations teams to understand solution capabilities,
tailor proposals, and support the development of client-specific offerings. The role also involves attending industry events or customer meetings, gathering feedback from prospects, and contributing to strategies that expand Elementiam’s market presence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience
- 3+ years of manufacturing sector experience
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to engage professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess effective presentation skills, including building and delivering presentations that explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Candidates should possess proven lead generation capabilities, including prospecting, outreach, and follow-up to convert leads into qualified opportunities.
- Candidates should possess market research skills, including analyzing industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
- Relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management within manufacturing, industrial automation, or related sectors is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Edmonton, AB, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple opportunities with attention to detail.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in CRM tools and basic office software.
- Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is an asset.
