Position Summary Goderich Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is seeking a creative and reliable Cake Decorator.
The ideal candidate will be expected to assemble, ice, and decorate standard soft-serve and Blizzard cakes: to fulfill custom customer orders while maintaining high standards of food safety and product presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare soft-serve and Blizzard cakes.
- Decorate cakes using icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, airbrushes, edible images, and lettering.
- Write neat, accurate customized messages on cakes.
- Ensure all products meet Dairy Queen quality and aesthetic standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized decorating station.
- Assist with other front-of-house or kitchen crew duties as needed during slower periods.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of secondary (high) school
- 7 months to 1 year of cake decorating experience preferred (training is available for the right candidate)
- Cake Decorator Certificate considered an asset
- Food Safety Certification considered an asset
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
