Etobicoke, Canada
Full-time, Hybrid
We're a business immigration law firm that helps Canadian employers build their teams and the people they hire build their lives here. Our work is fast-moving and detail-heavy — and we do it with care, precision, and purpose.
We're hiring a Corporate Immigration Case Worker to manage a caseload of employer-driven immigration files — working directly with Canadian businesses and the employees and workers they want to bring into Canada. Getting the details right here is the difference between an approval and a refusal, so this is a role for someone who already knows the LMIA and IMP landscape cold and can run volume without losing accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of corporate immigration files, working directly with Canadian employers and the foreign workers they're sponsoring or transferring
- Prepare and file Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications across the High-Wage, Low-Wage, and Global Talent Stream (GTS) categories
- Support employers through LMIA recruitment and advertising requirements — job postings, recruitment summaries, and demonstrating genuine recruitment effort
- Prepare and file Free Trade Agreement work permit applications (e.g., CUSMA, CETA professional categories)
- Prepare and file LMIA-exempt / International Mobility Program (IMP) work permits, including C10 significant benefit and intra-company transfer (ICT) categories
- Support employer-driven Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams and Express Entry-linked applications
- Prepare and review supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness ahead of submission
- Communicate directly with corporate clients and their employees to collect required documents and provide clear, timely status updates
- Correspond with IRCC, Service Canada, and provincial nomination offices on behalf of clients
- Track milestones, deadlines, and LMIA/work permit expiry dates across a volume-based caseload
- Support employers with post-approval compliance obligations for LMIA and work permit holders, and flag inspection or reverification risk before it becomes a problem
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in our case management system
- Support senior case workers and lawyers with research and complex file strategy
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Canadian corporate/business immigration casework
- Demonstrated working knowledge of LMIA streams (High-Wage, Low-Wage, GTS), FTA work permits, LMIA-exempt IMP categories (C10, ICT), employer-driven PNP streams, and Express Entry
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent files without sacrificing accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising directly with employers, HR contacts, and government officers
- Diploma or degree in Paralegal Studies, Immigration Consulting/Citizenship Studies (RCIC-aligned programs), Law Clerk Studies, or a related field is an asset
- RCIC licensing or law degree/licensing is a bonus, not required
- Familiarity with Clio or similar practice management systems is a bonus
What Success Looks Like
- Employer clients trust you to run their files end-to-end
- LMIA and work permit applications are accurate, complete, and submitted on time, every time
- You catch inconsistencies before they become refusals
- You manage volume without missing a deadline
