Active Minds Counselling

Active Minds Counselling is looking for a warm, skilled Psychotherapist or Social Worker who loves working with neurodivergent children, teens, and families. If you enjoy helping kids and parents make real progress through practical, individualized strategies — and want to be part of a supportive, kind, and growing practice — this may be the right fit for you.

Our work focuses on ADHD, anxiety, emotion regulation, school refusal, and parent support, and we value therapy that is engaging, solution-focused, and tailored to each unique child and family.

Active Minds Counselling provides counselling to children, teens, parents, adults, and families and is based in a welcoming permanent office space. We are a supportive and down-to-earth practice where clinicians are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and develop their strengths.

Responsibilities

- Provide counselling to children, teens, and/or adults
- Support parents and families when appropriate
- Maintain clinical documentation and notes
- Manage scheduling and caseload
- Practice ethically and professionally

Qualifications

- Registered with CRPO or OCSWSSW (or eligible for registration)
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience working with children and teens preferred




- Experience working with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, ASD, executive functioning, emotional regulation) is an asset
- Strong rapport-building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team

Position Details

- Part time with opportunity to grow
- In-person sessions required (virtual optional)
- Some afternoon/evening availability preferred
- Competitive fee split (discussed during interview)
