We are seeking a skilled and motivated Concrete Formsetter specializing in advanced forms and Dura Forms to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and dismantling advanced/wood concrete forms with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and quality of concrete structures, contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- accurately install advanced concrete forms and Dura Forms.
- Set up, align, and secure formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to ensure proper shape and support for pouring concrete.
- Install rebar reinforcement within forms according to specifications, ensuring durability and compliance with safety standards.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, or skid steers to position large form panels safely and efficiently.
- Adjust forms during concrete pouring to maintain correct dimensions, levelness, and smoothness; perform necessary modifications as needed.
- Dismantle forms after concrete has cured while inspecting for damage or defects; perform restoration or repairs on reusable form components.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons,
and other trades to coordinate tasks seamlessly on-site.
Requirements
- Local 27/506 affiliation
- Proven experience in concrete forming with advanced forms or Dura Forms systems
- Robust mechanical knowledge related to form setup, adjustment, and maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including Telehandler, power tools, and hand tools
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing; capable of performing restoration work when necessary.
- Experience reading schematics or technical drawings; welding skills are a plus for specialized tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving during renovation or construction projects.
