A deep understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data processing is essential. Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills are also critical for success in this role.

Minimum requirements include a degree or equivalent and typically over 10 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields. Preferable skills include experience leading enterprise-wide data initiatives, exposure to real-time event-driven architectures, familiarity with data governance, and a background working in highly regulated or complex business environments.

- Collaborate with Data Architects and enterprise teams to influence and define architectural decisions and solution designs.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards, patterns, and best practices aligned with the enterprise data strategy.
- Mentor and review the work of data engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching sessions.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, performance,

and long-term maintainability of data products and pipelines.
- Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Promote an automation-first mindset, emphasizing reusability and operational efficiency in data engineering solutions.
- Oversee testing strategies, production readiness, observability, and operational stability of data pipelines.
- Identify and address technical debt proactively, leading remediation efforts to maintain system health.
- Support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives through optimized data models and pipelines.
- Communicate complex technical designs, trade-offs, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
