Job Summary
Ten Ten Sinclair Housing Inc. is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Director of Finance to provide leadership and oversight of the organization's financial operations. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of our organization while supporting our mission of providing safe, affordable, and supportive housing for individuals and families in our community.
The Director of Finance will lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance, risk management, and funding administration. This position requires a strong understanding of non-profit and housing sector finance, government funding agreements, and the ability to provide strategic financial advice that supports organizational growth and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with Ten Ten Sinclair Housing Inc.'s mission, strategic priorities, and operational objectives.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Develop and monitor annual operating and capital budgets, providing regular financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting requirements.
- Manage organizational cash flow, reserves, investments, and financial planning activities to support long-term sustainability.
- Administer and monitor government funding agreements, grants, and other revenue sources, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate internal controls, policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, government funders, and financial institutions.
- Support housing development, property management, and strategic growth initiatives by providing financial analysis and business planning expertise.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to finance and administrative staff.
- Present financial information and recommendations to the Executive Director, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, transparency, and service excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in the non-profit,
social housing, property management, healthcare, or community services sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex budgets, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, government funding agreements, grant administration, and board governance practices.
- Experience with risk management, internal controls, financial forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Pay: $30.89-$32.88 per hour
