DRIVER/GENERAL LABOURER

Nemx Skilled Trades is a dynamically growing millwrighting, fabrication, rigging and CWB-certified welding contracting company. We are currently seeking a Driver/General Labourer who can immediately offer support to the overall operation of the company, especially as it relates to shipment delivery, inventory, production and job set-up. This role requires a team-minded individual with strong organizational, communication and customer service skills. You will be expected to pick-up and deliver equipment and parts using a company vehicle and insured under the company's fleet insurance plan. You will also be involved in our painting and coatings department learning a number of paint and coating application techniques. If you are a mechanically inclined person who is up to the challenge to prove your value to a growing organization, we have an opportunity for you to establish yourself and learn from the best.

What you will be initially counted on to do for the Nemx team!

· Pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts using company truck

· Ready and willing to learn new skills and assist with tasks for various projects in our fabrication/welding shop and coatings/paint department.





· Cataloging and maintaining records of stock consumables, parts and materials

· Planning/Picking of job tool orders

· Some clerical work

· Record keeping/filing

· Miscellaneous other duties as assigned

· Shop duties involving workspace organization and cleaning

· Required to wear appropriate PPE while on company sites and follow Nemx

Skilled Trades Safety Policy

· Required to follow all safety requirements as per safety policies

What will you bring to the job?

- MUST Possess a valid Driver’s License (G Class) and be able to provide a “clean”

driver’s abstract - If you possess a class D license, that would be beneficial to Nemx Skilled Trades

· You are commercially insurable under the Nemx Skilled Trades fleet insurance

(commercially insurable = birthdate year 2000 or earlier)

- Mechanical aptitude; desire to learn new skills; open and willing to prove yourself a valuable member to the Nemx team

· Exceptional computer skills and program knowledge (Microsoft Suite, Outlook,

Word, Excel)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Professional and pleasant presentation abilities

· Proven customer service skills

· Highly coachable and open-minded disposition

· Reliable and show up for work everyday!

· Willingness to learn current concepts and technologies

· Acquired knowledge of fastening hardware and the ability to identify hand tools

· Have experience in a shop environment and/or trades environment (1-2 years considered an asset but not a must)
